Macs and Numbers
Wired has the story about Gene Roddenberrys Mac Plus from 1986, which sported 1 Megabyte of RAM. Those were the days. I bought my first Mac years later, a Quadra 700 in 1992. Apple gave the Mac as gift to Gene. The moment in Star Trek IV, in which Scotty tried to tell the secret of transparent aluminum to a mouse is a timeless classic now. And of course Apple plays a big role role in LOST, too. It was an Apple II, down there in the Swan. And J.J. Abrams is a big Apple fan, too.
